Chocolate Chip Cookies
|1/2 cup||shortening or butter|
|6 T.||brown sugar|
|6 T.||granulated sugar|
|1 cup||cake flour|
|1/2 tsp.||baking soda|
|1/2 cup||coarsely chopped nuts|
|1 cup||chocolate chips|
Beat shortening, sugars, vanilla, water, and egg until light and fluffy.
Stir together flour, soda, and salt.
Blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts and chips.
Drop from teaspoon in well mounded rounds, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes about 50 cookies.
