Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 cupshortening or butter
6 T.brown sugar
6 T.granulated sugar
1/2 tsp.vanilla
1/4 tsp.water
1 cupcake flour
1/2 tsp.baking soda
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 cupcoarsely chopped nuts
1 cupchocolate chips
Beat shortening, sugars, vanilla, water, and egg until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, soda, and salt. Blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop from teaspoon in well mounded rounds, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes about 50 cookies.
