Old Fashioned Pan Rolls
1/2 cup | sugar |
2 tsp. | salt |
2 pkg. | dry yeast |
6 cups | flour |
2 cups | water |
1/2 cup | butter |
1 | egg |
Combine sugar, salt, yeast, and 2 1/4 cups flour.
In a saucepan heat butter and water til warm.
Mix at low speed into dry ingredients, 'til blended.
Beat 2 minutes.
Beat in egg and 3/4 cup flour.
Beat 2 minutes.
Spoon in additional flour for dough and knead.
Shape in bowl.
Let rise until doubled.
Punch down.
Make into 30 balls.
Rise and bake at 425° for 15-20 minutes.
Brush with melted butter.
